Dissertation note: Undergraduate thesis. Summary: This research paper aims to illustrate the perspectives, awareness and challenges a Licensed Customs Broker (LCB) encounters. This study utilized a quantitative analysis to assess the perspectives of Licensed Customs Brokers on the role of Attorney-in-fact in terms of functions, and responsibilities. Custom Brokers believe that certain aspects of the CMTA can be harmful to their profession. This study demonstrated that there is a considerable difference in functions, responsibilities, and challenges depending on the participants{92} age, length of business, and years of professional expertise. On the other hand, the functions, responsibilities, and challenges show no significant difference when the respondents are grouped according to sex, and nature of business. This study matters given that it highlights how licensed customs brokers perceive the role of attorney-in-fact and the functions and responsibilities of their profession, which is particularly essential to those studying in the Customs Administration course, Customs Brokers, and Future Customs Brokers.
