Undergraduate thesis.
A descriptive research method was employed in the study that looked into the optimization of strategies in the delivery of medical imaging services in MUNTIPARLAS during the COVID-19 pandemic. One hundred sixty-two decimal imaging professionals participated as respondents to the study. Data were gathered using a survey questionnaire. Statistical tools were used in the analysis of data. Respondents agree that there were challenges in the delivery of medical imaging services during COVID-19 in terms of staffing, infection control techniques, resources, and well being. Respondents also agree that strategies leadership, communication, and process, protocol, and policies were used to optimize the delivery of medical imaging services during COVID-19. There was a significant relationship between the optimization strategies used and the challenges in the delivery of medical imaging services during the pandemic. When respondents were grouped by the city location of the hospitals, there was a difference in their assessment of the challenges and the optimization strategies used. It was concluded that medical imaging professionals faced challenges in the delivery of medical imaging services during COVID-19 of which the most challenging are staffing and resources. However, there were strategies employed wherein leadership ranked the highest since strong leadership was needed to help professionals to cope with difficult times and to address the challenges. It was recommended that a webinar should be used for disseminating information regarding the challenges and strategies that can be utilized. Future researchers should explore the other challenges using qualitative research approaches to better capture the experiences of medical imaging professionals during the pandemic.
