This study investigates the influence of social media on crime rate in Barangay San Antonio. Chairman and Paranaque City Mayor Edwin L. Olivarez promised to help and collaborate with authorities involved with enforcing cybercrime laws. Between 2013 and 2015, the PNP Anti- Cybercrime Group (ACG) received and investigated 1211 cybercrime complaints. The benefits of social media platforms can aid or prevent crime in a country or community, leading academics to do research into the impact of social media on crime rates. The research attempted to investigate the impact of social media on crime rates in Barangay San Antonio Parañque City, with 140 citizens and 8 Barangay Officials participating. A quantitative causal-comparative technique was used to investigate the impact of social media on crime rates. A survey questionnaire was created with five components: demographic profile, amount of effect of social media on crime rate, difficulties encountered, and remedies offered to solve problems encountered. The Kruskal Wallis H test, a one-way ANOVA test that analyzes the medians of more than two groups using statistical procedures based on rankings, was used to collect statistical data. It cannot explain why these variables are dominating. The overall mean of indicators of Barangay residents being aware of anti-cybercrime legislation was (3.29) in Barangay San Antonio. The research found that those under the age of 20-30 are more educated about social media, with men accounting for 31% of all social media users globally. Singles were more influenced by social media addiction than married people, likely due to increased usage of social media for socializing and entertainment. The recommended action plan to solve the challenges will serve as the action plan's parameters.
