Statement of the Problem This study aimed to describe the time management of the 3rd year and 4th year. nursing student of selected college nursing. The specific questions it tried to answer are the following 1. What is the demographical profile of the respondents in terms of the following? 1.1 Age 1.2 Gender 1.3. Year Level 1.4 Civil Status 2. How does the respondents perceive their time management? 3. What is the most time management followed by the respondents? 4. What is the least time management followed by the respondents? 5. What is the score of the students in terms of managing their time? METHODOLOGY This part of the thesis discusses the procedures and type of research that the researchers utilized in order to realize the outcome of the study. Research Design The research design that the researchers will use is a quantitative type of research with mode as their statistical measurement in which the subjective cues are the ones that determines the mode. Respondents of the study The respondents of this study consisted of third year and fourth year nursing students of Olivarez College in Parañaque. There are sixty (60) third year NCM 102 students and one hundred eighty (180) fourth year NCM 104 students. They are used as the subject in this study because they have their clinical duties to assess. Research instrument The survey forms were prepared and utilized by the researcher in consultation with their research adviser. Statistical Treatment 1. Percentage This is used to determined the percentage of the responses of time management of the students, utilized the computation of the percentage for this formula used. 2. Frequency Distribution It is a statistical treatment used to determine the percentage of respondents in managing their time Findings The study revealed the following based, on the gathered data: 1. Profile of the respondents: 1.1.A. 76% were 19-23 years old, 13% were 24-28 years old, 7% were 29- 33 years old, 4% were 34-37 years old, and none of the respondents falls on the ages 38-42. 1.1.8. 58% were 19-23 years old, 16% were 24-28 years old, 8% were 20- 33 years old, 2% were 38-42 years old, and none of the respondents falls on the ages 34-37. 1.2. A. 16 or 35% of the respondents were male and 30 or 65% of the respondents were female. 1.2.B 43 or 41% of the respondents were male and 61 or 59% of the respondents were female. 1.3.A. 64 3 year respondents, 40 were or 87% were single, 6 or 3% were married and none of them were separated. 1.3. 82 were or 79% were single, 13 or 18% were married and 3 or 3% were separated. 2. Perception of the students regarding their time management: 2.1.A. out of 46 respondents 93% of the respondents answered yes that they do their things prior 7% of the respondents answered no, 83% of the respondents answered yes that they accomplished what needed to get things done daily, and 17% of the respondents answered no., 67% of the respondents answered yes that they are always on the time with assignments and 32% of the respondents answered no; 70% of the respondents answered yes, that they are using their free time efficiently and 30% of the respondents answered no; 59% of the respondents answered yes that they were spending enough time for planning and 41% answered no, 57% of the respondents answered yes, that they met their deadline without rushing at the last minute, and 43% of the respondents answered no: 72% of the respondents answered yes, that they were up to date with paper works and 28% of the respondents answered no: 48% of the respondents answered yes, that they didn't let interruptions to sidetrack them and 52% of the respondents answered no, 52% of the respondents answered yes, that they didn't spend much time watching TV and 48% of the respondents answered no 52% of the respondents answered yes, that they woke up early in the morning ready to take the day's tasks and 48% of the respondents answered no: 41% of the respondents answered yes that they studied regularly and 69% of the respondents answered no; 74% of the respondents answered ye, that they kept up the day to day assignment and 26% of the respondents answered no: 76% of the respondents answered yes, that they were always on time for their clinical duty and 24% of the respondents answered no; 65% of the respondents answered yes, that they made a daily "to do" list and 35% of the respondents answered no; 91% of the respondents answered yes, that they had a time studying and 9% of the respondents answered no. 2.1.B. out of 104 respondents, 92% of the respondents answered yes that they did their things in prior, and 8% of the respondents answered no, 82% of the respondents answered yes, that they accomplished what needed to get done daily, and 18% of the respondents answered no. 78% of the respondents answered yes, that they were always on time with assignments and 23% of the respondents answered no: 69% of the respondents answered yes, that they were using their free time efficiently and 31% of the respondents answered no: 58% of the respondents answered yes, that they spend enough time for planning and 42% answered no; 79% of the respondents answered yes, that they met their deadline without rushing at the last minute, and 21% of the respondents answered no 68% of the respondents answered yes, that they were up to date with paper works and 32% of the respondents answered no; 73% of the respondents answered yes, that they didn't let interruptions sidetrack them and 27% of the respondents answered no; 67% of the respondents answered yes, that they didn't spend much time watching TV and 33% of the respondents answered no; 80% of the respondents answered yes, that they woke up early in the morning, ready to take the days tasks and 20% of the respondents answered no: 55% of the respondents answered yes, that they studied regularly and 45% of the respondents answered no; 78% of the respondents answered yes, that they kept up the day to day assignment and 22% of the respondents answered no; 77% of the respondents answered yes, that they were always on time for their clinical duty and 23% of the respondents answered no; 74% of the respondents answered yes, that they made a daily "to do" list and 26% of the respondents answered no; 93% of the respondents answered yes, that they had time for studying and 7% of the respondents answered no. 3. What is the most time management followed by the respondents? 3.1.A. The most followed time management schedule followed by the third year nursing students were they did things in prior with 92%, they had a time for studying with 91% and they accomplished the needs to get things done daily with 83% 3.1.B. Same as the fourth year nursing students, they did things in prior with 92%, they had a time for studying with 93% and they accomplished what needed to get done daily with 82% 4. What is the least time management followed by the respondents? 4.1.A The least followed time management schedules followed by the third year nursing students are: they did study regularly with 41%, they didn't let interruption sidetrack them with 48% and they didn't spend too much time watching TV with 52%. 4.1.B. Same as the fourth year nursing students, they did study regularly with 55%, they spent enough time planning with 58% and they don't spend much time watching TV with 67% 5. What is the most score of the students in terms of managing their time? 5.1.A. 43% of the respondents got a score of 11-15 which explained that they were managing their time well, 50% of the respondents got a score of 6-10 which explained that they're had a good time management skills, but they had to work for it, and 7% of the respondents got a score of 0-5 which explained that they needed some assistance. Majority of the respondents managed their time wisely. 5.1.B. 63% of the respondents got a score of 11-15 which explained that they were managing their time well, 31% of the respondents got a score of 6-10 which explains that they're had a good time management skills, but they had to work for it, and 4% of the respondents got a score of 0-5 which explained that they needed some assistance. Majority of the respondents managde their time wisely. Conclusions The following conclusions are hereby presented. 1. Majority of the respondents were still young, ages 19-23, 24-28, 29-33, and 34-37. There were more female respondents than male respondents. |
