| Summary, etc. | The study dealt with the assessment of the level of implementation of the Philippine Army Basic Citizen Military Training in preparation for national security emergency response in the Bicol Region. Its goal is to generate relevant and accurate baseline information and knowledge for possible consideration of the department drawn from the selected respondents themselves. These can be considered for integration in the preparation of a strategic training development plan that stipulates core learning and skills for all that mitigate a future conflict. The researcher used the descriptive method of research using survey design resorting to quantitative technique appropriate. V. Bautista (2002) cited that a common feature of descriptive study is the opportunity to make use of the natural setting as this is capable of describing the past, present, and future occurrence of the event. Results showed that the majority of the respondents are classified as a younger generation, males, bachelor's degree holders, and newly in the service. The Level of Implementation of Philippine Army Basic Citizen Military Training in preparation for National Security Emergency Response rated fully implemented in Organization, Training Program, Facilities, Classification of Reserve Force, and Mobilization. Consequently, the assessments of two groups of respondents are not significant in all indicators. Furthermore, there are five problems encountered and proposed measures to address the problems. Through this, proposed action plans are provided to the Philippine Army Basic Citizen Military for National Security Emergency Response to develop the training components in all areas as well as recruitment, selection, and retention of the trainees in Bicol region. |
