| Summary, etc. | Faith Learning Integration (FLI) is essential for holistic education, addressing students' spiritual, moral, and intellectual development by bridging faith and academic learning. This study investigated FLI in educational settings, focusing on its effectiveness, challenges faced by teachers, and the impact of demographic factors. It proposed an enhanced curriculum with strategies for integrating faith, offering practical guidelines for creating a more inclusive and spiritually enriching learning environment. Using Cosgrove's model, which emphasizes the relationship between scripture and academic inquiry, and Korniejczuk and Kija's model, which outlines seven levels of faith-learning integration, the study involved ten Junior High School (JHS) teachers and forty-two parents. Data from teacher interviews indicated that these teachers effectively integrated faith and learning, positively affecting students' cognitive and spiritual development. Parents also recognized the benefits of this integration in character development. The study found no significant differences in the effectiveness of faith integration based on demographic profiles like age, gender, or educational attainment among teachers. For teachers, there was no significant relationship between the effectiveness of faith integration and the challenges faced, whereas parents observed a significant relationship between the effectiveness and the challenges encountered by teachers. The study recommended enhancing the curriculum by increasing planning and training time for teachers before the new school year. |
