| Summary, etc. | Interfaith socialization offers the potential to reduce prejudice and foster understanding across diverse religious communities. However, without careful implementation and respect for differences, it can also lead to conflict stemming from divergent beliefs and practices. This study examines the effectiveness of interfaith socialization in fostering cohesion within Quiapo, Manila - a district known for its rich religious diversity. Using a descriptive quantitative approach with 364 responses from the local residents across four Barangays covering the Quiapo district were treated using one-way Analysis of Variance (ANOVA). The findings revealed a generally positive acceptance of interfaith socialization across most demographic groups. A notable exception was slightly higher acceptance among respondents aged 33-47, suggesting age plays a role in influencing attitudes towards interfaith initiatives. These results indicate that interfaith socialization can be a valuable tool for promoting harmony in diverse communities. This research served as a baseline study in the study locale wherein age-related difference in acceptance of interfaith socialization process. Understanding these phenomena would facilitate the development of more effective and inclusive interfaith socialization strategies tailored to the specific needs and perspectives of diverse community members. |
