520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Medical cannabis has proven to be helpful for various medical conditions, despite the fact that it is thought to be an addictive substance and is the reason why it is still illegal in the Philippines as it is considered to be one of the most dangerous drugs in the country. Even so, cannabis, or {93}marijuana{94} for most is still widely known in the country and improperly used by many due to the lack of proper knowledge and misconceptions about its benefits and risks that also lead to recreational use and substance abuse. Hence, this quantitative research study aims to determine the knowledge and perceptions of the nursing students about medical cannabis and its associated benefits and risks upon utilization in healthcare. The information used in the study was gathered from a range of sources, including books, journals, websites and reviews of related literature. All of these sources were used to bolster the study{92}s conclusions. Due to their larger socialization and curiosity about cannabis{92}s medical properties, which are known to be beneficially supportive of the plant{92}s potential in the medical field while balancing its potential risks due to improper use and ignorance of links to substance, nursing students are the most open-minded when it comes to cannabis use-related issues. The study{92}s results indicate that all year levels in the nursing department had a certain amount of awareness of the beliefs and understanding surrounding medical cannabis, including the advantages and disadvantages of using it. It has been shown that there is considerable correlation between the respondents{92} year level and awareness; that is, the higher the year level, the more aware the respondents are, and the lower the year level, the less aware they are.
