Summary, etc. In the Philippine Cancer Society’s (PCS) registry data, approximately 59,000 people die of cancer annually, highlighting the need for research into mechanisms driving cancer progression, such as angiogenesis-the formation of new blood vessels. Marine organisms, particularly mollusks, have shown promise in medicine, with compounds from these species contributing to various therapeutic areas. The objective of this study was to determine the antiangiogenic activity of the Spermatheca gland of Hornsnail (Telescopium telescopium), collected from the Bulungan Seafood Market - Paranaque Fish Port, using Chick Chorioallantoic Membrane (CAM) Assay. Telescopium Spermatheca Extract (TSE) was subjected to modified levels of Phosphate Buffered Saline (PBS) concentration. Three treatment groups, negative control, blank control PBS solution, and TSE-were used for the CAM assay. Biochemical screening analysis was also done for the extract. Among the treatment groups, 1000 μL of 10 mg/mL TSE showed the highest inhibition percentage of blood vessel growth. Moreover, there is no significant difference in blank control. Biochemical screening analysis confirmed the presence of Carbohydrates, Proteins, Sterols, and Alkaloids in the extract, which may contribute to the observed antiangiogenic properties. Quantitative analysis of the blood vessels revealed that 1000 μL 10mg/mL of the TSE treatment group exhibited the highest inhibition percentage, demonstrating a significant reduction in blood vessel growth compared to the negative control. This suggests that the extract possesses strong antiangiogenic properties. Notably, the effect showed no significant difference from the blank control, indicating that the suppression of blood vessel formation may be concentraton dependent. The 0.5 mL extract treatment exhibited even more significant suppression, suggesting that a lower concentration might be more effective in inhibiting angiogenesis. The Spermatheca Gland crude extract resulted in a positive inhibition of compounds, demonstrating inhibition of angiogenesis-a significant reduction in the length of blood vessels- with a p-value of 0.000003 at a level of significance of α < 0.05. The number of blood vessels has Pv=0.00157 at level of significance α < 0.05. On the other hand, Sterols were also assumed to be the main biochemical class constituent of the antiangiogenic compound of interest.
