520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. Disney movies have been a big part of young women{92}s lives growing up, as well as the princesses they portray. {93}Disney movies, to some extent, have shaped the children{92}s conceptualization of beauty (Azmi et.al, 2018).{94} This study aims to learn if exposure to Disney Princesses affects young girls{92} conceptualization of beauty, what its effect is, and if there is a significant difference between Disney{92}s beauty standards and Generation Alpha{92}s ideal body image. The researchers hypothesized that exposure to Disney Princess films would result in participants{92} heightened adherence top the Disney Princess beauty standards. The researchers used a quasi-experimental design, specifically a pre-test and post-test design. Using convenience sampling, 30 female grade school students in grades 1-6 were chosen as respondents. Results showed that there was a significant difference between the scores of the pre-test and post-test of both the negative and positive sets of questions, signifying that exposure had both a positive, and negative effect on their answers. However, the rest of the results show that they could already have an underlying basis of what they deem beautiful that leans in a Eurocentric way. For this reason, an in-depth study of the content of the Disney Princess films for children and their effects would be a significant step forward in understanding the influences of appearance-related media on young children's concept of beauty.
