Summary, etc. Customs representatives are important for the efficient clearance of imported goods by dealing with complex customs regulations and requirements. However, they encounter challenges in communication, brokerage operations, and clearance delays, which can lead to costly penalties. A study was conducted to assess the ability of customs representatives to address import clearance processing delays using quantitative descriptive research methodology The research involved 50 customs representatives from different brokerage firms conducting transactions at the Bureau of Customs (NAIA). Their demographic variables, such as age, gender, company size, length of service, educational attainment, and monthly transaction frequency were utilized by the researchers. The study employed a non-probability sampling design, specifically snowball sampling. The study's findings indicate that there is no significant difference between the demographic variables of the respondents and the perceived capabilities of customs representatives in addressing common delays in import clearance processing. However, there is a significant positive relationship between the capabilities of customs representatives to resolve common delays related to communication and brokerage operations and the challenges encountered by the respondents. In contrast, the relationship between customs representatives capabilities to address delays in import clearance processing based on customs clearance and the difficulties encountered by the respondents is not significant. The study emphasizes the significance of customs representatives and the challenges they face, especially in terms of compliance with customs regulations and requirements. Addressing these challenges would enable customs representatives to perform their duties effectively and promote efficient import clearance processing, reducing delays or penalties.
