520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. The topic of career options, one may choose, can be a puzzle: there are crossroads and dead-ends on the temporally uncertain route. For this potential conflict, the paper aims to investigate how the conventional {91}Bahala na{92} attitude of senior high school students in grade 12 in Olivarez College Paranaque, Philippines influences their thinking skills for their career planning and development. The study aims to evaluate the impact of the {91} High Five Path Convention{92}. Moreover, the researchers sought to understand how these activities could shift students away from a purely fatalistic approach and empower them to take ownership of their career journeys. As the study involved both quantitative and qualitative research design, the quantitative data was gathered by the Melbourne Decision Making Questionnaire (MDMQ) which is a tool that assesses the decision-making patterns of people. This enabled the researchers to compare the students{92} decision making abilities prior to the undertaking of the High Five Path Convention. The primary data was obtained through interviews and focus groups, giving a fuller picture of the student's experiences, attitudes, and action. Afterwards, the research conducted in relation to the High Five Path Convention revealed that there were positive effects on the students{92} sound decision-making through comparison of pretest and posttest scores. First, the program was useful in helping participants become more self-conscious: secondly, it was beneficial in a way that made the participants realize that they have to take into consideration external factors as well in choosing a particular career path. The researchers also believed that it was helpful to investigate a strategy that effectively encouraged and prepared students to take over their career decision-making more actively and consciously.
