Summary, etc. Administration of medication is a basic activity in nursing practice. This study will awaken the nursing students to know more and to be competent in terms of drug administration. In rendering the healthcare status to our patients, student nurses must know their responsibilities in handling patients especially in drug administration. This study aims to assess the level of competency of level III and IV nursing students in terms of drug administration. The study was conducted at Olivarez College in Paranaque City. This research covered 31 nursing students and four clinical instructors who handled the students in clinical area.. A questionnaire was given personally to the students and to the clinical instructors to assess their level of competency in drug administration. A descriptive-correlational design was utilized which will describe the data and characteristics about the population or phenomenon being studied. Based on the summary and findings, the researchers have arrived at the following conclusions: 1. As stated in the researcher's findings, the researchers recommend to have an activity that will enhance the student's competency in the latest trends in research about drug administration like having research papers about the current trends in drug administration. 2. As the student nurses perceived by the clinical instructors, they suggest to have activities which will enhance the communication skills of the students as well as their skills in facing patients to give medication. 3. Nursing students must do journal readings regarding the latest trends in drug administration and it is also important that the students must practice communicating with their clients in explaining to them the purpose of the medication and the effect of this medication to them.
