Summary, etc. This study aimed to determine the perceived effects of hemodialysis on the quality of life of San Juan de Dios Educational Inc. (Hospital) clients. Specifically, it answered the following sub problems: What is the socio-demographic profile of the clients who undergo hemodialysis in terms of: 1. a. age b. gender c. civil status d. monthly and family income e. occupation f. highest educational attainment g. religion h. duration and/or frequency of hemodialysis i. type of admission 2. What are the perceived effects of hemodialysis among clients undergoing hemodialysis in terms of: a. Physical aspect b. Emotional aspect / spiritual aspect c. Socio-economic 3. Is there a significant difference between the Socio-demographic profile and the perceived effects hemodialysis treatment? 4. What is the significant difference between the effects of hemodialysis and the quality of life of clients who undergo the treatment? The study used the descriptive method of research to describe the perceived effects of hemodialysis on the quality of life of clients undergoing hemodialysis. A total of 100 clients were involved in the study. They were requested to answer questionnaire with prepared options in order to obtain desired data. The following were the findings of the study Age. Result showed that the majority of the respondents undergoing hemodialysis belong to the middle adulthood, from 41-50 years of age. It implies that these aged are potential for kidney impairment that requires hemodialysis treatment. Gender. There are more male respondents of 74% compared to female of 26%, which implies that male is predominant as respondents who are proned to hemodialysis. Civil Status. Most of the respondents are married which is 75% out of 100 respondents, the followed by 12% of widow/er. Followed by 8% single and 5% separated. Majority of the respondents are married in which marital problems are prominent. Level of Education. Most of the respondents are college graduates with 70% of the total population then followed by the college level with 10%, then, elementary level of 8%, followed by high school level of 6%, then a tie percentage with post graduate of 6% also. Majority of the respondents are college graduate. Family Income. Most of the respondents have a family income of 25,000- 30,000 with 26% per month followed by income ranging from 20,000-25,000. About 7% of the total populations have a monthly income of 40,000 and above.
