Summary, etc. This study aimed to determine the relationship between the self- concept ratings and the adjustment patterns of first year college students of Olivarez College during the school year 2002-2003. Specifically, the study answered the following sub-problems: 1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of the following: 1.1 age and gender; 1.2 course; 1.3 living arrangement in the city; and, 1.4 civil status of the parents? 2. What is the self-concept ratings of the respondents as measured by the Tennessee Self Concept Scale? 3. What are the adjustment patterns of the respondents as measured by the Bell Adjustment Inventory? 4. Is there any significant relationship between the general self-concept ratings and the general adjustment patterns of the respondents? The descriptive method of research was used. It utilized two standardized instruments, the Tennessee Self-Concept Scale and the Bell Adjustment Inventory. There were 200 student respondents involved in the study. The statistical tools used were percentage, weighted mean, and Spearman Rho.
