| Summary, etc. | This study sought to determine the competency level of the Air Traffic Management Officers (ATMOS) at the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP), the attainment of their facility performance rating and their profile toward designing personnel development and retention plan. It utilized quantitative descriptive correlation method using survey questionnaire among 39 respondents, with ATMOs I (23), ATMOS (5), and ATMOS III (11), respectively. Frequency, percentage, mean, ranking, ANOVA, and Chi-Square were used as statistical treatments for the study. Results showed the ATMOS' very satisfactory competency level (WM=4.79), with their obtained passing rate in facility performance within 13-18 months (35-90%) and their ages were between 29-32, had 4-6 years (41.03%) in service, were holding ATMO I position (58.97), had minimal (35.90) local training. Hence, there established no significant difference in the competency of the groups of ATMOS, likewise, with no significant relationship in their attainment of facility performance rating. years in service related trainings, and position with their competency level, but no relationship with their age. Their work duty, equipment and weather-related conditions served as their challenges in performing their functions. As such, the sustainability intervention initiative was proposed to address identified issues and challenges in order to sustain the competency level of ATMO. |
