| Summary, etc. | This study sought to review current practices in PE. classroom management of classes wherein students with disabilities attend classes together with students without difficulties. Specifically, it aimed to describe types of disabilities students have that cause them not to fully participate in all the requirements of the P.E. curriculum; identify issues and concerns arising from this situation from the point of view of teachers and students, and test for difference in views among teachers and students who favor the development of an alternative learning P.E. module for integrated classes in this scenario, and from this, come up with suggested alternative activities module for sports which You sent may be used as a sourced-reference for the enhancement of the P.E. curriculum across the participant respondent schools. A survey was administered to 74 respondents from 3 schools in the south of Metro Manila namely: Olivarez College, Southville International School and Colleges, and St. Bernadette College of Alabang composed of 65 students (29) with disabilities and 36 without disabilities), 5 teachers, 1 P.E. coordinator, and school administrators. Three different sets of survey instruments were used designed to gather the relevant information needed in the conduct of the investigation. A questionnaire-checklist and a 5-point Likert Scale format were used in the design for the 2-part survey questionnaires. Data were gathered and analysed using a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods in research, descriptive and inferential statistics, percentages, and the Pearson chi-square test for significance. |
