| Summary, etc. | The system of the study used by the researchers was based on the descriptive. This method this is to describe what exists in terms of the frequency of occurrence (or its presence versus absence) rather than to describe the relationship between variables. The study assessed the Nutritional Care Program of Children ages 0-5 years old. The nutritional status and the compliance were used to measure and to obtain the prevalence rate of the malnutrition. The variables were studied to find out whether they had a relation to how they affect the nutritional care. program in the community. This study aims to answer the following questions: 1.What is the demographic profile in terms of number of children, gender, civil status, monthly income, weight, height, body mass index and immunization; 2. What is the nutritional prevalence rate 0-57: 3. What is the percentage of compliance of the residents to the learning acquired in the nutrition program?. The table shows that majority of the respondents which comprimises only one child less than five years, the other 34 % has two children and the 7 % has three children. The table shows that majority of the children are under five years old and two years old which has 22.2 % each. Second is less than five years old which has 19.6 % e while children on four and three have the same percentage which has 17 % and the least is 8% for one to 12 months old. The table shows that majority of the respondents are girls than boys. Girls have 51 % while boys have 49 %. The table shows that majority of the parents are married which has 73 %, 18% is single, separated and widowed has 2 %. The table shows that the majority of the household income ranges to 5,000 to 10,000 which has 71 %. and only below 5,000 has 12.5 %. The table shows that majority of the children is on the normal weight which has 73.5 %, second falls on the overweight 14.5% and least on the list is for being underweight which has 12 %. Though data shows that majority has a normal BMI, still the above table shows that 12 % is underweight and 14.5 % is overweight. This may cause of some mother's practices. The table shows that majority of the children has complete immunization which has 82 % while 18% for not fully immunized. The table shows that majority of respondents are always consumed bread and rice at least 6-11 serving per day 4.75 vegetables and fruits are also given importance 3.52 and 3.42 Same with meat, fish, and milk with average consumption for everyday. The table shows that 77.5 % of the majority receive Vit A and Iron while 22.5 %% is not receiving vit A and Iron from the health center. The table shows that 87,5 % of the majority of the mother had breastfeed while 12.5% weren't able to breastfeed. The table shows that 100 % of the majority receive nutritious foods starting 6 months. The table shows that 65 % majority of the family is using iodized salt daily while 35 % is not using iodized salt. The table shows majority of the family buy and eat fortified foods which has 75 % and 20% are not. The table shows that 92.5 of the children brush their teeth properly and correctly while 7.5 % are not. |
