520 ## - SUMMARY, ETC.
Summary, etc. This study aims to determine the level of awareness about cervical cancer and its implication to lifestyle of selected women in Barangay San Antonio. Statements of the problem were proposed namely (1). The null and alternative hypotheses were stated as (1) there is no significant relationship between the level of awareness of selected women in Barangay San Antonio and their lifestyle and, (2) there is a significant relationship between the level of awareness of selected women in Barangay San Antonio about cervical cancer and their lifestyle. The research method used in this study is quantitative. Quantitative research is the investigation of phenomena, typically in an in-depth and holistic fashion, through the collection of rich narrative materials using a flexible research design. The type of quantitative research that is used in the study is particularly correlational. Correlational research designs are founded on the assumption that reality is best described as a network of interacting and mutually-causal relationships. Everything affects-and is affected by-everything else. The researchers used an adapted questionnaire composed of close-ended questions which aided in gathering the information. Survey was used as a primary instrument. Survey research investigates a universe of phenomena-population to discover the relative incidence, distribution and interrelation of variables. Based on the data gathered from their locale, it was proven that: (1) the demographic profile of the respondents largely contributed to their awareness and prevention of cervical cancer, (2) the awareness of the respondents about cervical cancer is very low and thus affects the way they prevent it, (3) the lifestyle of the respondents reflects how aware they are of the disease and therefore reduce/increase their chance of having cervical cancer unknowingly. Upon computation using the pearson r test, the null hypothesis was rejected and the alternative hypothesis was accepted. Based on the conclusion, the researchers recommend that, (1) the female gender especially in Barangay San Antonio be empowered with the right knowledge about cervical cancer, its prevention and treatment, (2) government provide depressed areas more access to basic healthcare especially in terms of The type of quantitative research that is used in the study is particularly correlational.
