Undergraduate Thesis

The purpose of the study is to investigate the Government and Non- Government Organizations that are administering scholarship grants in the Philippines particularly in the tertiary level Through Thorough investigation, the study found out the ff. 1. Both, Government and Non-Government Organizations offering scholarship grant had an increasingly significant numbers in the National Capital Region. The Government administered scholarships had 9 or 9. 14 percent while Non- Government Organizations had the most increasing number of 32 or 45.71 percent. 2 Of the total number of respondents witheld, Government Organizations consisted of 40.17 percent and the Non-Government Organizations had of an increasing 59.83 percent. Most of the scholarship grants provided by both sectors requires Filipino citizenship and a graduate of the secondary level not exceeding the age of 30 3. And, priority courses offered by Government scholarship grants are Education and Engineering while, Non-Government Organization prioritizes business courses. The following suggestions are: 1 Scholarship Organizations in the Philippines whether Government or Non- Government Organization, should reach out to the provincial regions specially in rural areas. 2. Non-Government Organizations administering scholarship grants should increase their services in Region I, V, XI and especially in region XIII. 3. State University or Colleges should proactively participate in expanding and promoting scholarship grants as the forefront institutions of Government Organization. 4. Courses offered by these organizations involved should be in line with the National development plan or based from the EDCOM report.
