The researcher, who is part of the Philippine Army oganization for halt a decade, and currently designated as Reservist Personnel Management Information System NcO of National Capital Region Regional Community Defense Group, Reserve Command, Philippine Army, strongly commends as she believes that there was a need for reassessment on expediency of virtual platfom teaching use in Reserve Officer Training Corps in Metro Manila due to COVID-19 pandemic. Hence, this present study was comprehended with a goal of determining the expediency of virtual platform teaching in ROTC specifically to the three 3) selected schools in Metro Manila namely: Lyceum of Alabang, Pamantasang Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, and Olivarez College. Likewise, it aimed to propose an action plan as an output of the study to address the problems encountered on the use of virtual platform in teaching ROTC. It utilized quantitative method using questionnaires among the respondents of the study composed of three categories, the ROTC Cadets, training staff, and school administrators. (230) ROTC Cadets from LOA, (308) ROTC Cadets from PLMUN, and (140) ROTC Cadets from You sent Olivarez College, (10) Training Staff and (2) School Administrators coming from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa, Olivarez College in Parañaque and Lyceum of Alabang. Results showed that the school administrators found the virtual platform to be highly effective in terms of administrator's, less effective in terms of student characteristics and effective in terms of course content, course design, instructor characteristics, social and technical support. While on the other hand, both the training staff and ROTC cadets rated the virtual platform ass effective in all its criteria. Over all, the combined assessments of the three groups resulted into an effective virtual platform being used in the virtual teaching of ROTC. At some point, the combined assessments made by the three groups of respondents on problems encountered during the conduct of virtual ROTC program can be boiled down into two major issues. First is communication and second, the lack of resources which also resulted to poor communication between and among trainees and trainers.
