This study was conducted to determine the comparative analysis of a Hotel and a Motor Inn as basis to regulate the hotel service industry. It sought to answer the following specific problems: 1. What is the profile of the respondents in terms of: 1.1 Age; 1.2 Gender: 1.3 Academic Year Level; 1.4 Civil Status? 2. How do respondents perceive hotel and motor inn services, with regards to: 2.1 Accommodation; 2.2 Food; 2.3 Facilities; 2.4 Privileges? 3. Is there a significant difference on the perception of the respondents as regards to variables in no.2, when grouped according to year level. Findings 1.1 Based on the findings majority of the respondents' age bracket are eighteen (18) to twenty-two (22). It comprises of forty-four (44) out of fifty (50) or eighty-eight (88) percent (%) of the total respondents. On the other hand the age bracket of twenty-three and above is comprised of six (6) out of fifty (50) or twelve (12) percent (%) of the total number of respondents. 1.2 According to the data shown majority of the respondents were females. It comprises of twenty-four (24) out of fifty (50) or fifty two (52) percent (%) of the total number of respondents. While the males are comprised of twenty-six (26) out of fifty (50) or forty- eight (48) percent (%) of the total number of respondents. 1.3 According to the distribution of academic level the majority of the respondents were in the third year level. It comprises twenty nine (29) out of fifty (50) or fifty eight (58) percent (%) of the total number of respondents. While the fourth year are comprised of twenty one (21) out of fifty (50) or forty-two (42) percent (%) of the total number of the respondents. 1.4 According to the data shown in table 4, the majority of the respondents were single in Status. It comprises forty three (43) out of fifty (50) or eighty six (86) percent (%) of the total number of the respondents. While the married status are five (5) out of fifty (50) or ten (10) percent (%) of the total number of the respondents. While the others were two (2) out of fifty (50) or four (4) percent (%) of the total number of the respondents. 2.1 The weighted mean with regards to accommodation, facilities, food, and privileges. Appreciate accommodation got 4.44 for the third year students and 4.15 for the fourth year students. For the weighted mean appreciation of food 4.44 for the third year and 4.14 for the fourth year students. The facilities appreciation the weighted mean for the third year is 4.45 and for the fourth year is 4.14. Lastly, for the privileges the weighted mean for the appreciation for the third year is 4.44 and for the fourth year is 4.15. Conclusions Based on the above mentioned findings the following conclusions were drawn: 1. The majority of the respondents are female and most of the age ranges from 18 to 22 years old 2. The respondents give importance on accommodation, foods, facilities and privileges. 3. There is no significant difference when it comes to accommodation. but there is a significant difference among foods, facilities and privileges. Recommendations Based on the foregoing conclusions the following recommendations are drawn: 1. To the Department of Tourism and Hotel and Motor Inns Owners. Provide more activities for the Hotel industry to promote the Motor Inns and other lodgings that provide accommodation in the Philippines. 2. To the Hotel and Motor Inn owners. Encourage people to be more responsible when comparing Hotel to Motor Inns.
