Dissertation note: Master Thesis Summary: Digital library resources are academic library information resources that have been subscribed to and can be accessed using an electronic device. With the rapid technology advances, libraries must adapt as well to changing conditions. Libraries are now integrating e-resources into their collection to meet the needs of their user's clients. At the moment, there are various electronic databases to which Libraries can subscribe to gain access to e-journals. This study looked at the factors that affect the utilization of digital library resources among college students and teachers in three higher educational institutions. The questionnaires were given at random to 55 teachers and 305 college students. The factors identified include Perception, effectiveness, challenges, utilization which were collected from linked studies. Spreadsheet programs and R Studio were used to examine the collected data. The findings revealed that the factors mentioned above influence the use of e-resources, except student perception, which became an insignificant component. It was suggested that more research into techniques to raise awareness must be undertaken, including the provision of orientations and training, which help spread of knowledge. Use of the proposed digital library user manual with support web collaborative application was also recommended and considered as output for this study.
