Dissertation note: Master Thesis Summary: The greatest challenge across the world is currently being faced, and the quality of education has significantly changed because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Teachers, as innovators, were tasked with writing and designing modules that would effectively be used for distance learning to deliver effective and quality education to the learners. This study aimed to determine the effectiveness of module adoption in selected public schools in Caloocan as the basis for the development of an improved material writing program for Araling Panlipunan. The researcher utilized a descriptive research design in this study and gathered forty-four (44) teachers through the use of a purposive random sampling technique. The respondents were purposely chosen from Araling Panlipunan teachers in selected public secondary schools in Caloocan. A self-made survey questionnaire was used in the study. Mean, frequency counts, percentage, a four-point Likert scale, a paired sample t-test, and Pearson correlation were used to analyze and interpret the data. Based on the result. The study revealed that on the level of module utilization in teaching in the new normal learning environment and on the effectiveness in students academic performance before and after teachers' module adoption in public secondary schools in teaching Araling Panlipunan, there was evidence that the module was utilized and that it was effective. With the significant difference between the academic performance of the students before and after the module utilization, there was sufficient evidence of an increase in their academic performance. The change in the level of module utilization affects the academic performance of the students. However, it was recommended that the teachers, as the end users of the educational learning materials for their teaching in the new normal environment, need high-quality writing program as their craft in the development of improved material so that they can give their best effort towards the attainment of quality education.
