This study entitled "The Extent of Utilization of Travelbee's Nurse-Patient Relationship Theory in the Related Learning Experience of Olivarez College Student Nurses focuses on the extent of utilization of Travelbee's Theory of the olivarian college student nurses. Particularly the study sought to answer the following problem: 1. What is the profile variable of OC student nurses in terms of 1.1 Age 1.3 Gender 1.3 Civil Status 2. What is the extent of ultization of Travelbee�s nurse patient theory in terms of : 2.1 Orientation Phase 2.2 Working Phase 2.3 Termination Phase 3. Is there a significant relationship between the Extent of Travelbee's Nurse Patient Relationship of respondents when grouped according to profile variable: 3.1 Age 3.2 Gender 3.3 Civil Status? In this study the researchers have fifty respondents which ranges from ages 17-30 years of age. The researchers used the quantitative type of research intended to solve the appropriate mathematical equations or models for possible outcomes of the study based on the used self-made questionnaire based on Travelbee's Nurse-Patient Relationship Theory. The following findings of the study: 1. The profile of the respondents in terms of 1.1 Age: Majority of the respondents are within the age group of 17 - 20, which comprised of 26 out of 50 respondents, followed by the age group of 21-25 which comprised of 20 out of 50 respondents and the lowest group is 26-30 years old which comprised of 4 out of 50 total respondents. 1.2 Gender: The respondents are female which comprised of 25 or 50% of the total number of respondents and male which comprised of 25 or 50 % of the total number of respondents. The respondents are equally divided according to gender 1.3 Civil Status: Majority of the respondents are single which comprised of 48 or 96 % of the respondents and male which comprised of 2 or 4 % of the total number of respondents. 2 What is the extent of utilization of Travelbee's Nurse-Patient Relationship Theory in terms of: 2.1 Orientation Phase: Regarding the extent of utilization of Travelbee's nurse-patient theory, majority (3.60) mentioned establishing rapport with their patient as their priority which is inferred as "Always", other OC student nurses cited communication with their patient in his/her own language and gaining trust of their patient by calling his/her name (3.48) interpreted as always. Moreover, they also show empathy to their patient to provide them support until their patients can control their feelings and behavior (3.46). On the other hand, they also encourage their patient to verbally and non-verbally express both his positive and negative feelings (3.40) and they always develop a mutually accepted contract with their patient. While performing assessment with completed goals within 24 hours got the lowest mean of 2.75 interpreted as "sometimes". 2.2 Working Phase: Regarding the extent of utilization of Travelbee's nurse-patient theory, majority of Olivarez College student nurses explore possible solutions that can be applied to their patient's problem got the highest mean of 3.36 interpreted as "always". It also revealed that student nurses are consistent at all times to develop a feeling of security in their patient got the second rank with a mean of 3.32, also interpreted as agree. Moreover, student nurses identify problems with their patient and they also assist their patient to develop coping skills/strategies, positive self-concept and independence as part of Working Phase got a mean of 3.28 interpreted as always. On the other hand, student nurses identify their patient's perception of reality, coping mechanisms and support systems with a mean of 3.22 interpreted as always. While student nurses resolve their patient's problem got the lowest mean of 2 98 interpreted as "always" 2.3 Termination Phase: Regarding the termination phase, majority (3.52) mentioned that student nurses are firm in maintaining professionalism until the end of the relationship by not promising to the patient that the relationship will be continued as "always", other indication cited that student nurses make referral for continuing health care and support to provide additional resources for the patient and family got a mean of 3.30 interpreted as always. It also revealed those students nurses evaluate whether their goals of therapeutic relationship are met or not got a mean of 3.23, also interpreted as agree. Moreover, student nurses emphasize the separation date with their patient got a mean of 3.21 interpreted as always. While assisting the patient to review accomplishments and regrets got the lowest mean of 3.14 which interpreted as always. 3. Is there a significant relationship between the Extent of Utilization Travelbee's Nurse Patient Relationship Theory of respondents when grouped according to profile variable of Age, Gender and Civil Status? 3.1 Age: The table shows that the r value which is 0.65 is more than the p value which is 0.05. Therefore, the null hypothesis is accepted. There is a moderate correlation between the extent of utilization of travelbee's nurse-patient relationship of the respondents according to age. Therefore, whether the person is young or old, he/she utilizes Travelbee's Nurse-Patient Theory in any age. 3.2 Gender: The table shows that the r value of 0.51 is correlational between Therefore, the null hypothesis is accepted. There is a relationship between the extent of utilization of travelbee's nurse-patient relationship of the respondents when grouped according to gender. Females got a high result of utilization of 3.36. This table shows that Females utilize Travelbee's Nurse-Patient Relationship Theory compared to Males. 3.3 Civil Status: The table shows that the r value of 0.95 highly correlational Therefore, the null hypothesis is accepted. There is a relationship between the extent of utilization of travelbee's nurse-patient relationship of the respondents when grouped according to civil status. Married respondents got high result of utilization of 3.38 However, it might not be a true reflection of the extent of utilization because there are only 2 out of 50 respondents who are married and the rest are single. The result shows bias towards Married respondents. Conclusion Based from the major findings written in this thesis paper the following conclusions are made; 1. The researchers concluded that the Extent of Utilization among OC Student Nurses about Travelbee's Nurse Patient Relationship Theory is high, however Females utilize more of Travelbee's Nurse-Patient Relationship Theory than Males. 2. Exposure to clinical areas where there are more interactions like NCMH and ward helps OC student nurses improve their Nurse-Patient Relationship of Travelbee's Theory. 3. The school administrators should advise the students to adjust on their duties and be more responsible and have patience to their people they serve.
