Dissertation note: Undergraduate Thesis Summary: This study is geared towards determining the relationship of self-efficacy and academic performance of Level III Nursing students of Olivarez College Paranaque. The researchers used descriptive-correlational method of research as an approach to analyze and evaluate the relationship of self-efficacy and academic performance. The respondents of the study included 168 nursing students in Level III enrolled in NCM 101, first semester of school year 2009-2010. Specifically, it sought answers the following sub-problems: 1. What is the demographic profile of the Level III Nursing students of Olivarez College Paranaque City, enrolled in NCM 101 (Old Curriculum) for the school year 2009-2010 with respect to their age, gender, civil status and educational attainment? 2. What is the self-efficacy level of the BSN III students of Olivarez College Paranaque? 3. What is the respondent's academic performance in NCM 101? 4. What is the relationship between self-efficacy and academic performance among BSN III students of Olivarez College Paranaque City? The study made use of 10 survey questionnaires using the General Self- Efficacy Test. The academic performance of the respondents was obtained from the College of Health Related Sciences. To formulate significant conclusions on the findings, related frequency, percentage, weighted mean and Pearson's r would be used by the researchers. The null hypothesis formulated was that there is no significant relationship between self-efficacy and academic performance of Level III Nursing students of Olivarez College, Paranaque City. The statistical results showed that there is a positive relationship of self- efficacy and academic performance of Level III Nursing students.
