Dissertation note: Master Thesis Summary: This study endeavored to assess the perceptions of teachers on their workload and its impact on their personal and professional welfare. The researcher employed quantitative descriptive-correlational research using a survey questionnaire among 232 Elementary School teachers deployed in the Indang District, Division of Cavite, belonging to three school types: small schools (107), medium schools (93) and big schools (32). Frequency, percentage, weighted Mean, Analysis of Variance, Tukey HSD and Pearson r Coefficient Correlation were used as statistical treatments for the data. Results showed that elementary school teachers put high regard on their workloads, both teaching and non-teaching, as deemed essential in performing their teaching functions, except research. However, additional workloads impede their time to rest, reflect and do professional readings and research. There found no significant difference in the perceptions of teachers from the three school types, although, marked difference on their experienced impact. As such, no significant relationship was established between the latter's perceptions on their workloads and its impact on them. Thus, a work-life balance was designed to mitigate negative impact of workloads on teachers.
