Dissertation note: Undergraduate Thesis Summary: Nowadays, people are facing difficulties in their financial, mental, and physical affairs caused by the global outbreak of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19), changing the way they live their daily lives. The population of today cannot risk their health and well-being going outdoors; thus, hindering them from getting an assessment of whether they or someone they know has contracted COVID-19. The multilingual COVID-19 self-assessment tool (MCSAT) is a fast, efficient, minimalistic, Philippine-centric web application and software utility capable of being deployed into multiple operating system platforms, that allows users to check if they have acquired signs or symptoms suggestive or indicative of COVID-19 infection, all in the comfort of their homes. The tool was developed utilizing modern web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, Electron, Chromium, and Node.js and is based on feedback from the survey conducted by the researchers on computer-literate respondents from social media. Results of quantitative survey analysis indicated positive feedback towards the system, and users were satisfied with the experience the tool provides. This paper would be beneficial for future researchers as it can be a reliable guide or a stepping stone for innovation in developing a similar utility.
