  <abstract>This study's aim is to correlate the Self-concept and Leadership Styles of the Nurse Managers in South Super Highway Medical Center and Las Piñas City Medical Center. As the researchers have quoted, leadership is one of those unique qualities the nurse managers possesses, it is very essential for a nurse manager to have this quality to maintain order and promote discipline to his or her subordinates. The researchers want to relate each manager's self-concept to their leadership style. Does the self-concept of the nurse managers influence their style in leadership?  It is the purpose of this study to determine the self-concept and leadership styles of the nurse managers in two selected hospital in Parañaque City. Specifically, this study seeks to answer the following question:  - What is the demographic profile of the respondents?  Among leadership styles, which is the most dominant among the nurse managers? What is the overall level of self concept of nurse managers of two selected  hospitals?  Is there a relationship between Self- concept and leadership styles of nurse managers?  In this study, the researchers used the correlation method of research. The correlation method of research is the systematic investigation of relationship between 2 or more variable. This method was used because the researchers are concerned with studying the relationship of self-concept to the leadership styles of nurse managers in Las Piñas City Medical Center and South Super Hi-way Medical Center.  According to the study, the findings are the following:  1. Demographic Data  1.1 Age-40 % (6) of the respondents are in the age bracket of 36-40 years old, 33.33% (5) of them are 31-35 years old, 13.33% (2) are 26-30 years old, 6.67% (1) is 46-50 years old and another 6.675 (1) is 21-25 years old.  1.2 Gender - 86.67% (13) of the respondents are female and 13.33% (2) are male. 1.3 Civil Status -79.33% (11) of the respondents are married and 26.67% (4) of them are single.  1.4 Highest educational attainment-14 (93.33%) of the respondents have a bachelor's degree and only 1 (6.67%) had a post graduate degree.  1.5 Length of service - 40% (6) of the respondents are in the service for 1-5 years another 40% (6) of them are in the service for 6-10 years, 13.33% (2) are in the service for 11-15 years and 6.67% (1) is in the service for 21-25 years.  1.6 Positions in the Hospital - 46.67% (7) of the respondents are Head nurse, 33.33% (5) are Nurse Supervisors, 13.33% (2) are Chief Nurse and 6.67% (1) is a unit coordinator.  2. The most dominant Leadership style of the Nurse Managers is Participative Leadership Style which composes 40% (6) of the respondents. This Leadership Style is primarily concerned with human relations and teamwork.  3. The over all level of Self-concept of the respondents is high self-concept based on the General mean and table of self-concept.  4. There is no relationship between Self-concept and Leadership Styles of the manager. nurse  Based on the findings, the researchers inferred the following conclusions:  -The nurse managers at Las Piñas City Medical Center and South Superhighway  Medical Center have high self-concept. This finding is based on the table and General mean of Self-concept.  -The dominant leadership style of the respondents is participative leadership style based on the table of Leadership Styles. There is no correlation between self-concept and leadership style according to Chi  square Goodness of fit test  vii  -Conduct periodic leadership appraisal for nurse managers. The results of this appraisal will help the nurse managers know themselves better in terms of handling subordinates. This would help them discover their strong and weak points. Furthermore, the nurse manager will be aware of their leadership style and its effects on the performance of the subordinates.  After the study the researchers came up with the following recommendations. 1. Inform the nurse managers of the high positive self-concept result and reinforce the importance of a high positive self-concept.  2. Conduct periodic leadership appraisal for nurse managers. The results of this appraisal will help the nurse managers know themselves better in terms of handling subordinates. This would help them discover their strong and weak points. Furthermore, the nurse manager will be aware of their leadership style and its effects on the performance of the subordinates.  3. Continuing education that focuses on leadership styles and self-concept should be initiated and further encouraged in the nursing profession.  4. The Researcher recommend to the Hospitals to have a weekly evaluation or report regarding the Self-concept and Leadership Style of their Nurse Managers. This would help them in supervising on whether the Self-concept and Leadership Style of their Nurse Managers is effective in terms of handling their subordinates and rendering service to the client  5. For the future researchers, we recommend to study more Leadership Styles in order to expand the knowledge of the readers and to have a broad idea about Self-concept.</abstract>
