The study's purpose is to assess the extent of implementation of online learning modality in the teaching-learning facilitation in public secondary schools as a basis for the proposal of an enhanced online distance learning framework. The study utilized a mixed method approach composed of two parts, the quantitative and qualitative. Both quantitative and qualitative data were gathered in a concurrent-transformative design, and data integration happened during the analysis or interpretation phase. Data showed that the extent of implementation of online learning modality in the teaching-learning facilitation in public secondary schools was rated as Fully Implemented. However, the indicator under the lowest category of student interaction opportunity must be given focus was expecting students to turn on the camera when using Google Meet meetings. There are several challenges revealed in this study that were encountered by the groups of participants in the use of online learning modality in the teaching-learning facilitation in public secondary schools, such as ICT resources for online learning, distractions in an online learning environment, online assessment of learning, and engagement of learners using online applications. To address the challenges in implementing online learning modality, this study proposed an enhanced online learning framework to be used by public secondary schools.
