Master Thesis

This study examines the implementation of the Physical Education (PE) program at Olivarez College Tagaytay in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. Using a qualitative case study approach, the research investigates the challenges and innovative strategies adopted by the faculty members to ensure the continuity of the PE program. A total of fifteen key informants, including faculty members and students, participated in semi-structured interviews, observations, and document analysis to provide the data. The findings highlight the significant obstacles faced by implementing the PE program due to the pandemic, such as limited access to facilities, fear of transmission, and reduced student engagement. Despite these challenges, the study reveals that the faculty members developed innovative methods and alternative modes of delivery to continue the PE program. The study concludes with recommendations to improve the implementation of the PE program during the pandemic and future crises.
