This study assessed the marketing and operations practices of outright retailers as the basis for promotion and selling strategy. This study used a quantitative research method and a self-made survey questionnaire was made to assess the different marketing and operations practices of the identified retailers. It involved sixteen (16) department stores that are carrying outright fragrance items with a total of twenty-six (26) respondents composed of decision-makers such as owners, managers, and supervisors. To determine the respondents of this study, a Purposive sampling technique was used. The study concluded that bigger area allocation in the department store means bigger sales contribution. It was also determined that technology plays a vital role in information dissemination and marketing awareness. The study proved that visual signage, manpower, and inventory monitoring are some of the practices that contribute to increased sales of a department store.
