This research investigates the awareness of Olivarez College Criminology students regarding the effects of identity theft on mental health, serving as a foundation for an action plan. Utilizing a descriptive research design and a stratified sampling method, 100 students across first to third years were surveyed. The study examines their understanding of identity theft{92}s psychological impacts, including emotional distress, psychological behavior and feelings of embarrassment and helplessness. Findings reveal that students are generally aware of these effects, with increasing awareness as they progress academically. However, significant gaps in understanding and preparedness were noted, particularly among lower-year students. The study highlights the need for enhanced educational initiatives, including curriculum integration and workshops focusing on identity theft prevention, emotional resilience, and mental health support. Recommendations include institutional support, such as counseling services, public awareness campaigns, and collaborations with law enforcement. These efforts aim to foster a well-informed student body capable of mitigating identity theft{92}s adverse effects and serving as proactive advocates in their future criminology careers.
