  <abstract>Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) is a bacterium that is one of the primary culprits behind skin or wound infections, and this has led to a significant amount of research being conducted to find ways to control or prevent infections caused by this bacterium. Considering this, the researchers in this study embarked on an exploration to study the effects of the Moringa pods (Moringa oleifera) and Katakataka leaves (Kalanchoe pinnata) extract when combined with a medical patch against Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus).  The researchers were particularly interested in measuring the diameter of the zone of inhibition of ten different treatments against the said bacteria using in-vitro testing. This method allowed them to directly observe the effects of the treatments on the growth of the bacteria. To prepare the treatments, the researchers utilized a 95% ethyl alcohol solution combined with the dried plants. After 48 hours, the mixture was concentrated using a water bath at a temperature of 60 C. This process resulted in a semi-solid extract that was used in the treatments. The ten treatments were screened using a One-way ANOVA and Tukeys HSD tests. These statistical tests allowed the researchers to determine if there were significant differences between the treatments. The results of the study were quite promising. The study demonstrated that the treatments composed of Moringa pods (Moringa oleifera) extract, with or without the medical patch, have significant potential as a natural-derived medical patch against Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus). The most effective treatment, whether it was composed of 100% Moringa pods (Moringa oleifera) or 100% Moringa pods (Moringa oleifera) extract with the medical patch against Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) both showed the largest zone of inhibition of 2.4 cm and 2.7 cm respectively. On the other hand, the Katakataka leaves (Kalanchoe pinnata) extract showed small to no inhibition. Interestingly, it was observed to facilitate the growth of Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus), indicating that it may not be effective in controlling the development of this bacterium. In conclusion, the researchers found a significant difference between treatments 1, 2, 5, 7, and 8 upon using One-way ANOVA and Tukeys HSD test. These treatments had a higher percentage of Moringa pods (Moringa oleifera) extract than the treatments with higher concentration of Katakataka leaves (Kalanchoe pinnata) extract (treatments 3, 4, 6, 9, and 10). This suggests that the treatments with a higher concentration of Katakataka leaves (Kalanchoe pinnata) extract (treatments 3, 4, 6, 9, and 10).  This suggests that the extract from Moringa pods (Moringa oleifera) may be more effective in inhibiting the growth of Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus).</abstract>
