The researchers hypothesized that exposure to Disney Princess films would result in participants{92} heightened adherence top the Disney Princess beauty standards. The researchers used a quasi-experimental design, specifically a pre-test and post-test design. Using convenience sampling, 30 female grade school students in grades 1-6 were chosen as respondents. Results showed that there was a significant difference between the scores of the pre-test and post-test of both the negative and positive sets of questions, signifying that exposure had both a positive, and negative effect on their answers. However, the rest of the results show that they could already have an underlying basis of what they deem beautiful that leans in a Eurocentric way. For this reason, an in-depth study of the content of the Disney Princess films for children and their effects would be a significant step forward in understanding the influences of appearance-related media on young children's concept of beauty. aDisney Princesses. aDisney Films. aBeauty. aMedia. aEffects. aAcosta, Joseph Liam C. aMercurio, Jayesh Yna S. aVelasco, Melody
