The research explores the cash handling practice of small businesses in Barangay Baclaran, emphasizing mainly their awareness and effectiveness when incorporating practices about Petty Cash Funds, Cash Deposits, and Voucher Systems to create a tailored guideline on what is the best practice for managing their cash. The following data were gathered based on an APA format containing 30-item validated survey questionnaires, 15 items on how effective these practices are to their business. The data interpreted used Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) to identify the significant difference in awareness and effectiveness of small businesses{92} cash handling when grouped with the demographic profile. Pearson Correlation was used to determine the significant relationship between the respondents{92} level of awareness in terms of their cash handling practices and how effective these practices are to them when applied to their business model. The data gathered reveal that small businesses in Barangay Baclaran mainly include merchandising type of operations. The data also shows that most of the respondents are moderately aware of the cash handling practices. Still, regarding effectiveness, the voucher system is not as effective as the other system.
