This study aims to investigate the difficulties faced by Grade 11 students in speaking English in order to address it and provide possible solutions to those problems. The research used a qualitative phenomenological research design that uses a method of observation and in-depth interviews with open-ended questions to construct a more comprehensive knowledge of the phenomenon by determining and examining the significance of determining the challenges presented in the learning process of speaking English. The researchers selected ten students who passed below average in the subject Oral Communication of Grade 11 Humanities and Social Sciences students for the First Semester of School Year 2023-2024 from Dr. Pablo R. Olivarez Senior High School. The questionnaires were developed to measure the factors affecting students{92} learning process in speaking and their performance with activities related to speaking. The Criterion validity was established by correlating the questionnaire with established measures of the factors that affect student learning processes in speaking. This study highlights the common psychological issues in students{92} daily lives, including shyness, low self-esteem, fear of making mistakes, and lack of confidence. An action plan is given to address the highlighted challenges that respondents have in oral communication, particularly in the context of language learning, and provide recommendations for teaching strategies and materials that can help students overcome these challenges.
