The Philippines is one of the top five countries in the world that contributes to plastic waste. This study aims to alleviate plastic use by introducing the reverse vending machine as a business concept. The idea of the reverse vending machine is to promote recycling by collecting plastic recyclables while dispensing incentives to its users as a reward. In this study, the main instrument used is survey questionnaires distributed through Google Forms. Data for this quantitative descriptive correlation study are collected from randomly 384 respondents from Paranaque City. The questions were designed to address the study's objectives, including determining how consumers utilize plastics and introducing the reverse vending machine as a business concept. The study resulted in the respondents strongly agreeing that the reverse vending machine can help promote recycling. Most of the respondents agree to acknowledge the rewards and incentives feature of the reverse vending machine. T his result indicates a positive response to the concept of the reverse vending machine here in the Philippines.
