This study focuses on the development of an NFC-based system designed to manage limited-time access to the internet section at Olivarez College. It addresses the growing need for secure and efficient regulation of student internet usage. The research evaluates the current access control methods, identifying their strengths and limitations, and explores the potential of NFC technology as a superior alternative. A prototype system utilizing NFC cards and a time-restricted authentication mechanism was developed and tested with 99 students and 1 faculty member. Results indicate that the NFC-based system significantly improved access efficiency, minimized unauthorized usage, and enhanced student satisfaction. These findings suggest that NFC technology can provide a secure and user-friendly solution for managing temporary access, with broader applications across educational institutions. The study underscores the importance of integrating modern technologies to streamline operation and improve the overall user experiences in academic settings ER -
