This study explores the effect of body shaming on those grade 12 students in Olivarez College who experience different kinds of body shaming inside the school. Still, most of our participants report being body-shamed because of their body size and height. The researcher aims to conduct this study because many of the students face this kind of problem inside the school, and body shaming from friends, classmates, and even family can negatively impact their mental health. When students experience body shaming, they tend to develop coping mechanisms, but many of these are negative. The purpose of this study is to propose a program to the guidance counselors that can help students and also the guidance counselors in grade 12 students. This program raises awareness and provides educational and insight to help the victims of body shaming, and at the same time, the students who engage in body shaming should also be aware of its harmful effect on their peers. For guidance, the researcher wants to help them by giving an idea about the effective program for both students who are victims and body shame. This program also boosts self-esteem and overall well being and helps students build connections with guidance counselors, creating a more supportive and understanding school environment. We used qualitative methods by conducting an interview by selecting 10 participants in grade 12 who experienced body shaming. They shared personal experiences about this topic, and the outcomes reveal that body shaming profoundly affects the confidence and mental health that can lead to a social withdrawal and psychological distress of most of the students. The study highlights the importance of school-based assistance and proposes a guidance program to take action for those students who are affected and to raise awareness of this issue and the negative impact it has on students.
