Pagulayan. aParañaque City:bOlivarez College,c2014. aUndergraduate Thesis aThe purpose of this study is to assess the communicative competence of the graduating students of Olivarez College that would significantly contribute to the development of an English Towards Reinforcement of Academic and Career-oriented Knowledge (E-TRACK) program. Using concurrent triangulation as the guiding research methodology, the proponents, together with the graduate school students under Dr. Von Sarino and Social Orientation 7 students of Mr. Mel Alipoon, conducted a mock job interview to the graduating HRM students. For the researchers to assess the communicative competence of the graduating students, they adopted Pillars{92} Framework for Communicative Competence. Provided by the following questions, the researchers were guided in the interpretation of the gathered data. Statement of the Problem: 1. What is the level of communicative competence of the graduating students of Olivarez College in terms of: a. Appropriacy b. Fluency c. Comprehension d. Intelligibility e. Range 2. What is the level of paralinguistic competence of the graduating students of Olivarez College in terms of: a. Proxemics b. Kinesics c. Prosodics 3. What is the overall impression on the communicative and paralinguistic competence graduating students of Olivarez College? 4. Based on the findings, what E-TRACK Program may be developed or proposed? The results of the interpretation made showed that the graduating students are knowledgeable and effective enough in using their linguistic and paralinguistic skills.
