COVID-19 pandemic has hugely impacted the world, making a new normal trend in the people's way of living, as well as the educational system. E-learning now became the new normal platform of learning. In practice-based programs, such as Bachelor of Science in Nursing, skills are highly needed for students to be fully equipped and competent to practice their profession. The effectivity of E-learning in developing nursing skills is uncertain since E- learning is new to most educational institutions. This research study is a qualitative research, specifically grounded theory, that is descriptive-comparative in nature, focused on comparing the different learning experiences of nursing students in actual and virtual simulations, in order to determine which learning platform is better for nursing skill acquisition. Based on the data collected from the nursing students by one-on-one interview, all of the respondents' comparison of actual and virtual simulations showed that they preferred actual simulations more. The researchers, then, concluded that skill acquisition is greatly attained in actual simulations. However, since E learning is now the new platform of learning, different educational approaches were recommended in order to maximize the learning experiences and improve the skills acquisition of nursing students in whatever platform used.
