Undergraduate Thesis

Students that are now trapped in this pandemic are experiencing not only difficulties in studying in their homes but also extreme stress because of the hardships that come with it. This study aims to determine the effects of stress in different aspects such as intellectual, behavioral, emotional, and physical extent, and common stressors and develop stress management programs that could cater to the needs of students specifically the nursing students in Olivarez College. To test the hypotheses that the researchers formulated, a survey was conducted on all 179 respondents who are then grouped into clusters according to their demographics to find if there is a significant difference between groups, and an interview was conducted with a guidance counselor. Based on the survey, the common stressor is information overload. The effects of stress on the intellectual aspect are easily distracted. The behavioral aspect is being quiet; the emotional aspect is overthinking. Lastly, the physical aspect is tiredness. Using ANOVA, the majority of the demographic have a significant difference from each other. These results were then used as the basis for the stress management programs proposed by the researchers. It also suggests that demographics have a big role when researching stress- related topics since groups tend to have significant differences in this study.
