<subfield code="a">This study explored the experience of the key players in the implementation of the Alternative Learning System (ALS) program in Tagaytay City District. The researcher utilized a qualitative descriptive multiple case study as a research design. Through this design, Alternative Learning System implementation in new normal was not explored through one lens, but rather a variety of data sources such as interviews, focus group discussion, classroom observation, and documentary review. The findings of the present study showed that to sustain the Alternative Learning System, ALS key players must possess good qualities such as perseverance and determination to finish what they have started. Additionally, Time management and management of resources were the effective elements of the transition. Good time management allowed the ALS key players to continue and thrive in the transition while management of resources pertains to the available resources they have used in the transition. This can be their modules, reviewers, or online resources. Moreover, time management, finding tutor, and positive attitudes toward learning were the ALS key players{92} means of coping up with the sudden transition. Furthermore, the support from local government units, family, community, and benefactors were the ALS key players strongest anchor amidst the pandemic. Distance Modular Learning was the learning modality that fits with the ALS learner{92}s complex background. However, This modality showed downside too such as learners had difficulty with independent learning, the authenticity in the assessment of learning, and the contextualization of the learning materials. The transition to normal education had stirred many emotions and when pushed into a challenging situation, the ALS key players learned to be resourceful and patient. They use this circumstance to grow in ways they never have before. Lastly, the key players gave their prospects on the implementation of Alternative Learning System now and beyond. Based on the aforementioned findings, it was suggested that the Department of Education must consider the contextualization of modular printed anchored on the k-12 ALS curriculum that is doable and suited to the learner{92}s abilities, other learning modalities such as online synchronous learning should also be considered to make learning easier and accessible, and every barangay in the District of Tagaytay City must have its facilitates or community learning center to cater to the needs and education of the out-of-school youth and adults.</subfield>
