<subfield code="a">This research has developed contextualized curricular innovations from an investigation of teachers' educational challenges, and educational readiness with the new online environment of selected private school teachers handling students with special needs in Parañaque City. It employed the descriptive-comparative design. It had two respondents{92} schools, namely: Blessed Luisa School and the Learning Garden Montessori School. It made use of a researcher-made questionnaire as the main data collection tool. It treated its data utilizing descriptive statistics, such as mean and ranking, and inferential statistics, specifically the t-test. Findings showed that the online learning environment has not greatly affected teachers handling students with special needs. They manifested a high level of readiness. However, respondent schools displayed rather significantly different educational challenges along with adaptability struggle and educational readiness along with motivation to learn. Accordingly, research-oriented and contextualized curricular innovations were proposed to make teachers handling students with special needs be prepared for and adapt to the new online learning environment. </subfield>
