This study aimed to determine the competencies of graduating Information Technology (IT) students in relation to the demands of the job market, thereby to sustain job match. This study utilized quantitative descriptive correlation method using survey questionnaire among eighty - five (85) respondents, whom seventy - five (75) of them were graduating IT students from ITE institutions; seven (7) company supervisors; and three (3) human resource officers, respectively. Results showed that IT companies noted the competencies demanded in the job market such as technical, personal, and interpersonal skills. Fortunately, respondents strongly believed that they possessed those competencies their schools had provided to them as countered validated by the company supervisors during their OJT. However, there is no significant relationship established among the aspects of company - demanded competencies demonstrated by the respondents. To this effect, an academe-industry tool kit was crafted to sustain such identified competencies and thereby, address related concerns.
