This study attempted to identify the oral reading disabilities in English of the grade Il pupils of Silangan Elementary School annex for the SY 2001-2002 in order to draw out implications as bases to improve the reading program of the school. It specially tried to seek answers to the following questions: How were the grade two pupils described when grouped according to the following OLIVAREZ COLLEGE MASTER OF ARTS IN EDUCATION 2002 Age; Sex; Nutritional Status:Achievement Ratings in English, Frequency of supervised oral reading in English by parents; and 1.6 Number of years of teaching experience of reading teacher? 2. What were the oral reading disabilities of the Grade Two pupils according to the variables as stated in the sub-problem number 1. 3. How did the grade two pupils perform in the oral reading test by 3.1 3.2 3.3 1.5 Nutritional status, 3.4 Frequency of supervised oral reading in English by Parents; and 3.5 Number of years of teaching experience of reading teacher? 4.
