Ramos. aParañaque City:bOlivarez College,c2005. aMaster Thesis aThe research was undertaken to assess the relationship of principal empowerment to the effectiveness of selected public clementary schools in Parañaque City. Specifically, it answered the following sub-problems; 1. What is the personal and demographic profile of the public elementary school principals in Parañaque City in terms of: 1.1 age; 1.2 gender; 1.3 civil status; 1.4 years of experience as principal; and 1.5 educational attainment? 2. What are the level of empowerment practices of the public elementary school principals as perceived by the respondents as 10: 2.1 instruction; 2.2 administrative; and, 2.3 fiscal matters? 3. What is the extent of effectiveness in schools managed by empowered principals as perceived by the respondents, in terms of: 3.1 highly motivated learners; 3.2 competent and committed teachers 3.3 capable and effective managers; and, 3.4 adequate and orderly physical environment? The researcher utilized the descriptive method of research. A total of 18 principals and 221 teachers participated in the study. Data were gathered through a questionnaire-checklist. Scoring was made based on the responses of the respondents to the 5-point scale tools. Treatment of the data was done through the use of simple descriptive statistics such as frequency, percentage and weighted mean.
