This study focus in assessing in the coping mechanism of post operative patient. We conducted this study for the purpose of knowing the factors that udergo to the indvidual who is post operative in the time span of 2 weeks after they go surgery. This study merely help us to understand not only the process of surgery but most of all to the people who is involve in this kind o stressful medical condition. We like to assess how they easily cope up by using different coping mechinism by engaging there self in different acivity. We utilized a qualitative survey questionnaire as the main tool for gatehring the necessary data. We provided a set of specific question for post operative. A set of survey that can show the behavior of an individual who is post operative. The questionnaire is composed of 12 ways that can help them to cope up and it is answerable by 1- never 2- sometimes 3- often 4- very often 5 always With the total of 33 respondent. Based from the result, it can be concluded that the study showed that the average weighted mean of the respondents who are post operative patient use praying as the coping mechanism is 4. 12 with a verbal interpretation of very often. The average weighted mean of respondent who are post operative patient with engaging theriselves in recreational activity as a coping mechanism was 3.24 with a verbal interpretation of often. The average weighted mean of the respondents who are post onerative patient make job as their center of their attention and make as a coping mechanism was 3.24 with the verbal interpretation of often. The weighted mean of the respondent who try to understand more about their health as a coping mechanism was 3.82 with a verbal interpretation of very often. The respondents who hang out with their friend as a coping mechanism is 3.18 with a verbal interpretation of often. The who express their feelings as the coping mechanism was 3.39 with a verbal interpretation of often. The respondent who use crying as a way of coping is 3.94 with a verbal interpretation of often. The respondent who use watching TV as a form of coping mechanism was 4.12 with a verbal interpretation very often. The respondent who go out and have some fun as a coping mechanism was 3.06 with a verbal interpretation of often The study showed that the average weighted mean of the responded that are post operative who spent their time with the family as the coping mechanism was 2.88 with a verbal interpretation of often. The respondent who go out and have some shopping as a coping mechanism was 2.64 with the verbal interpretation of often and the respondent who justuse resting sleeping as a coping mechanism was 2.64 with the verbal in interpretation of often. The result show that the rapid return of an individual to the functional activities and lessen the psychological stress of an post operative patient by performing different coping mechanism. It minimize the immediate post operatively stress, dissability and discomfort without jeopardizing the healing process of the incision.
