This study endeavor school Yes to determine the content mastery and pedagogic competency of the basic education teachers and college professors in teaching specialized courses in senior high school, including the identified issues and concerns. The quantitative descriptive correlational method of research was utilized using a survey questionnaire in this study among three hundred fourteen (314) teacher-respondents, who were handling senior high school specialized courses in different STI campuses, namely: (1) STI Makati; (2) STI Parañaque; (3) STI Taft; (4) STI Cubao; (5) STI Caloocan; and (6) STI Las Piñas, respectively. Frequency, percentage, weighted mean, Z-test, Chi square, and Pearson r were utilized for statistical treatment of data. Results showed that the college professors and basic education faculty are equally competent in terms of content mastery and pedagogic competency in handling specialized courses in senior high school. Hence, the latter's field of specialization, their assigned subjects, relevant trainings and teaching performance have something to do with their pedagogic competency; while their educational attainment and trainings contribute immensely to their content mastery. As such, they expressed some issues and concerns that are both professional (handling student discipline); and institutional (school support and workload issues). Therefore, an output was developed in the form of a proposed enhanced educational development plan to address the identified issues and concerns in this study.
